There is no required dress code for the Newyear Istanbul party. You can dress up for dinner and dancing or keep your outfit relaxed. The useful choice is a combination you can wear comfortably indoors, with a warm layer for the waterfront and outdoor deck.
For our current SEREMONI arrangement, dinner takes place in a heated indoor area. An upper outdoor area is available for the view. You do not need to spend the whole evening outside to enjoy a winter cruise.
Do I need formalwear for a Bosphorus dinner party?
Formalwear is optional at our party. A dress, a shirt with trousers, a favorite top with jeans, or another evening outfit you enjoy can all work. You do not need to buy a suit or an evening gown to attend.
If you like dressing up for New Year’s Eve, bring that outfit. If comfort matters more, choose clothes that let you sit through dinner and move easily afterward. The party’s lack of a required dress code gives you room to decide.
Avoid choosing only for the indoor temperature. You still have the journey from your hotel, the waterfront boarding point and the ride back after the event. A good outer layer covers those parts without making your dinner outfit too heavy.

How should I dress for heated indoor dining and the open deck?
Use layers you can take off inside. A shirt, blouse or light sweater under a coat is easier to adjust than one very heavy outfit. A scarf is useful when you step outdoors and takes little room in your bag.
Our dining area is heated. The outdoor area remains open to the weather, so keep your coat available if you want to go up for views. You can return indoors when you have had enough time outside.
Check a local forecast shortly before packing rather than planning around a seasonal average. The Turkish State Meteorological Service’s city forecast is a useful place to check conditions near your travel date. We do not promise clear skies or a particular temperature for the evening.
Which shoes make sense for boarding and dancing?
Choose shoes you already know you can walk in. Low heels, stable boots or comfortable sneakers are practical choices. Think about steps, the short walk to the boat and standing up to dance, as well as how the shoes look with your outfit.
There are stairs on the boat. Contact us before booking if stairs or boarding could be difficult for you. We can check the actual arrangement instead of assuming it will suit you.
If you plan to wear heels, choose a pair you can control while boarding and moving around. Bringing unfamiliar shoes for their first long evening out is an avoidable distraction.

What should I carry in my bag?
A small bag is convenient while moving from the hotel to the vehicle and onto the boat. Keep your phone, the saved PDF ticket, your hotel details and any personal essentials together. Charge your phone before leaving; a compact power bank can be useful if you expect to take plenty of pictures.
Your PDF ticket lists the lead guest and the group size. There is no QR-code check for this party. Save the document somewhere you can find it quickly rather than relying on a mobile connection to search your inbox.
If you are using hotel pickup, read the time sent by email one day before the event. Being dressed and ready in the lobby or outside the hotel entrance makes the start of the evening easier. Use the meeting point on your ticket if a nearby hotel has been arranged.

Can I enjoy the views without staying outside all night?
Yes. Dinner is inside, and you can step out to the upper outdoor area for a look at the waterfront. Bring your coat when you go rather than leaving it at the table and finding you need it immediately.
For photographs, a phone you can hold securely is more useful than a complicated setup you do not want to carry. Keep the walkway clear while taking pictures and follow the crew’s instructions about outdoor access.
Views depend on weather, the route and operating conditions. Fireworks are not included or guaranteed, so plan your outfit for the evening aboard rather than a promised outdoor fireworks session.

What if I want to dress as a group?
Couples and friends can coordinate their outfits if they enjoy doing that, but there is no need to match a theme. Choose something each person is comfortable wearing. The shared-table arrangement is about your booking, not what you wear.
Tables seat 8 or 12, with larger booking groups arranged at neighboring or facing tables. A particular table position is not guaranteed. If you need the practical ticket, seating and transfer details, the complete guest guide brings them together.
